Returns Policy

We understand that the product that you have purchased may not suit or fit.  In order for us to best assist you please read the following information carefully. Returns should only be requested via your place of purchase. Your Aqualung Dive centre may have their own terms of sale and an independent returns policy, however the following terms are set out by Aqualung.

Aqualung offers a 30 day exchange policy within Australia for all goods that are unused and in a saleable condition. This means:

  • The product and packaging is undamaged, unworn, unmarked (including fingerprints on lenses) and where applicable with tags still attached.
  • If you believe your product is faulty please refer to faulty items section below.

If a product comes back that has been clearly worn, used in water or is damaged your return may be rejected.


Refunds

If an Aqualung dive centre has special ordered a product for you, we are unable to offer refunds for a change of mind or if you have ordered the wrong product. Please refer to this guideline by the ACCC. Refunds

For any refunds that are considered a 20% restocking fee will apply which will be charged via your place of purchase.


Warranty Policy

Aqualung offers a warranty on all products. In the unlikely event that any of your goods are faulty, please contact your place of purchase who will raise a warranty claim with us directly in line with our faulty item policy. In some cases, your product may be required to be returned to us for service or repair. 

The Customer benefits a warranty of conformity in relation to the Products delivered by Aqualung during two (2) years from the date of delivery, except if otherwise mentioned on the user/owner’s manual of the product.

According to this warranty, Aqualung is liable for (i) any lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery of the Products and (ii) any lack of conformity resulting from the packaging, assembly instructions or, as the case may be, installation if this has been entrusted to the Customer or has been carried out under his responsibility.

This conformity warranty shall not apply (i) if the Customer was aware of the defect at the time of contracting, (ii) when he could not have been unaware of the defect at the time of contracting or (iii) where the defect is the result of materials supplied by the Customer.

In the event of lack of conformity, Aqualung shall offer the Customer either the replacement of the Products or their repair depending on the choice made by the Customer, unless the cost to Aqualung is clearly disproportionate, taking into account the value of the Products or the significance of the defect.

‎The Customer benefits a warranty against hidden defects in relation to the Products delivered by Aqualung during two (2) years from the discovery of the defect, within the five (5) years following the purchase date, except if otherwise mentioned on the user/owner’s manual of the product. The Customer shall prove that the defect existed at the time of purchase, that it was hidden and that it renders the Product unusable.

If you are a consumer, this process must be carried out via your place of purchase, Aqualung is not able to refund items on behalf of a third party. Aqualung will only process warranty claims directly via authorised dive centres.

‎For the application of the aforementioned warranties, the Customer shall return the Products to their place of purchase in the state in which the Customer has received them with all their accessories and documents, as well as a copy of the invoice.

No charge shall be requested by Aqualung to the Customer for the replacement or repair of the Products for the purpose of the aforementioned warranties.

These warranties do not cover damage and wear resulting from adaptation or a special assembly, whether it is abnormal or not, of the Products. Defects and deterioration of the Products resulting from abnormal conditions of storage and/or conservation by the Customer cannot be covered by these warranties.
